The phonology of Atchan

Atchan is a Kwa language spoken by approximately 150,000 people in and around Abidjan southern Côte d’Ivoire. In this paper, I describe aspects of the phonology Atchan, including its consonant vowel inventory, syllable structure, patterns nasalisation, lexical grammatical tone. provide examples from primary data collected collaboration with native speakers Atchan. This article offers first comprehensive sketch literature.
